H.O.P.E. provides 3 club credits for every 50 points. In total, H.O.P.E. provides 12 club credits for at least 200 points.

Volunteer hours are only given out through event participation outside of school. H.O.P.E.’s secretary keeps tracks of the events our members participate in and the amount of service hours they receive for it. If you only attend meetings or participate in fundraisers, you do not receive volunteer hours for them. Although you do receive points for participation, you will not be awarded volunteer hours.

H.O.P.E. provides volunteering events for our members to participate in. Through attending these events, you gain a certain amount of points, usually depending on the amount of hours the event lasts. Generally, we give out 5 points for each hour of the event. Members are also able to gain points through attending meetings, buying merchandise, and supporting our fundraisers/drives. By the end of the year, to receive the full 12 credits, H.O.P.E. requires a completion of 200 points.

Club meetings are held once every month on the first Friday, typically in the auditorium or library.

There are generally 4-6 events held every month. Every event is led by one of our executives. Members sign up for events through the SignUpGenius link that tells you all the information you need to know about the event, including the time, location, and contact information of our event leaders.

If you are unable to attend the event, you have to fill out the absence form located on our website. However, if you do not complete this form at least 24 hours before the event takes place, there will be a point penalty.

We send out a Google Sheet that contains the points and club credits every marking period. But you can also head to the home page, scroll to "Check your points" section, and enter your BTHS email in the search box.
